How to create and secure your Binance account

Before you deposit or trade, take time to create and secure your account. Registration steps, available services and referral eligibility can vary by region.

Check eligibility and prepare

Check Binance’s current service and referral eligibility for your location before signing up. Some regions or accounts cannot participate in referral programs, even if other services are available. Have access to your own email or phone and any identity documents requested for your region.

Start from a trusted source

Access the official Binance website through a trusted bookmark or install the official app from a trusted app store. If you follow a referral link, check the destination before entering any details. Beware of unsolicited messages and lookalike sites. This website does not collect your Binance password, verification codes or identity documents.

Create your account

Choose the personal account option and an available registration method, such as email or phone. Read the terms and privacy notice, complete the requested verification, and create a strong, unique password when prompted. Steps may differ between the website, app and location. Never share verification codes with anyone.

Check the referral code

If you want to use our referral code, check the referral code or Referral ID field when it is presented. A referral link may fill it automatically; if the field is empty and editable, enter it there. Check the details before confirming: Binance says a linked referral code cannot be changed. Any referral benefits depend on eligibility and applicable terms; we may earn a commission.

Complete identity verification

Follow the verification instructions in your Binance account. You may need to select your residence and document type, submit an identity document and complete a face or liveness check. Requirements differ by location. Submit documents only through the official site or app and wait for the result; do not send them to someone claiming to be support.

Enable two-factor authentication

In Binance account security settings, enable an available second factor, such as an authenticator app or passkey, and protect your email account with two-factor authentication too. Keep recovery codes or setup keys in a secure place and never share them. Follow the instructions shown in your account.

Add protection against phishing and unauthorized withdrawals

Consider enabling an anti-phishing code for Binance emails and a withdrawal address whitelist where available. Check messages and URLs carefully: an apparent official source is not by itself proof a message is safe. Access support through Binance’s official site or app rather than responding to an unexpected contact.

Review your account before depositing

Check your logged-in devices and remove unfamiliar sessions, review security notifications, and confirm the services available to you. If you see suspicious activity, use Binance’s official account controls and contact support. Before transferring funds, check the asset, address, network and any required memo.
